Default 2005 Supra

This month's (June actually) issue of Motortrend has them predicting the return of the Supra for the 05 model year. They say it will bow during October's Tokyo Auto Show in concept form and will be released in fall of 05. It's been rumoured that it will share its platform with the next-gen IS sedan/coupe, kinda like how the G35/350Z share platforms. This time though, to avoid maintenance headaches and high costs, the only engines offered will be naturally aspirated. They are guessing 3.0-3.5L options, but I would say that no less than 3.3L (the "new" Toyota/Lexus engine) will do, especially if they want to maintain the Supra's performance image. Pricing is expected to be competetive with the 350Z and RX-8 which prolly means low 30's for a decently equipped model. Don't have a scanner at my house, but if someone has a chance they should scan the picture. It looks nothing like that fugly retro Supra pic that has been floating around for the past year.

Automobile had a feature on it to. Allegedly featuring N/A 3.0 and 3.5 liter V-6's.

Its not that bad. I actually like it. Much better than that retro pic that was circulating around earlier. Can't wait to see the concept!

Front styling is way overdone. I dont think Toyota could make a good looking car anymore.
