A gd KIA over a TL-S? Hell no!
The proportions are just screwy. I assume it's FWD, like the Optima...
That grille looks like it came off a old steam locomotive (the cowcatcher) :P
Blech.
On a side note, I'd be amazed if any bank would finance a loan on a Korean car. The depreciation curve is like the trajectory of a Buick ( or Kia :chuckles: ) driven off the rim of the Grand Canyon.

It appears that they changed the name to Kia Amanti. Not much better...
Kia Amanti
The Amanti is Kia's entry into the large-sedan segment, and with a name that's Italian for "lovers," it's decidedly adult in both form and function. A 3.5-liter V-6 will drive 195 horsepower and 217 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission, so while the Amanti may look like a Mercedes-Benz E-class, it won't quite move like one. But grownups will appreciate such features as a 270-watt Infinity sound system, in-dash six-disc CD changer, and a bevy of safety devices: anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, traction control, electronic stability control, and eight airbags are all standard. Amanti is bigger than a Buick LeSabre inside, and while pricing has yet to be finalized, expect it to be lower than any of its competitors. And thanks to a 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty, Amanti buyers will assuredly be lovers — value lovers.

I don't think Kia will bring the car to the US market with a base price of over 30k. And even at the base price I'm sure it will come standard with all the goodies listed above. Personally I applaud them trying to move upmarket with this car. It shows that they're willing to take risks and learn. Who knows, in 10 years they might (emphasis on might) produce the next Accord or even a sporty model like the Prelude. The point is, stop clowning on them for trying to improve.
