Kia to Launch Luxury Model; Opirus
Basically, it's an entry-level luxury boat from Korea. The engine is rather sedate, the suspension calibrations cribbed from a classic 70's Caddy, and the design is derivative in a manner that I refer to as "pin the tail on the E-Class.[:chuckles:]"
Both Hyundai and Kia have been planning to produce such a vehicle for quite some time. Kia is just a bit late to the party.
I've actually seen more than a few on the roads around here; my impression of them is sort of a rolling sensory deprivation chamber.

Maybe it is the way they copied so many other cars in the exterior, but I really really hate the looks of this car. It is so boring looking that it is ugly. The xg and first kia optimas were better looking. It looks like one of those 'could be any car' automobiles that auto insurance companies use for thier ads. It does not help that the massive grill has no emblem, it just looks like an air conditioning vent.
What do y'all expect? It's for people who want a new car with a long (but IMM questionable) warranty and total isolation from the torture of commuting for a minimal amount of investment. It's not pretending to be an S4 or an M5. For god's sake, it's a 3500 lb front-wheel drive boat...:chuckles:
