The downpipe was custom, the manifold was not. There is no way in hell I am going to pay for it again. I clearly stated that I had a GSR, so it was their fuck up.

Yeah, for now. If I can't stand it, it will be easy to reroute it into the downpipe.

Mike at SLS is a good guy and I am sure he will make this correct without any hassle. I would have confirmed every step of the way what engine this was for since it was overlooked by two people before I received it.

Your setup is looking sick!...
Regarding your bottom-end, is there anything needed to do to the crankshaft to widthstand the added power? Also, will you be putting the rotating assembly in or will a shop do this for you?

I could have the bearing journals micropolished and the crank balanced but everything looks good, so I am going to skip that. I am debating whether I want to drill out the oil galley plugs to clean out the galleys and then replace with threaded plugs. The crank is super strong because it is forged, so nothing major needs to be done to withstand tons of power.

I will be putting it all in myself. The machine shop is only going to bore and hone the block for me. Selecting bearing sizes, measuring clearances, and assembly is all going to be done by your's truely.

I talked to Mike at SLS today and he is fabbing me up a downpipe for the correct manifold as we speak, so I should have a new manifold in my hands at the beginning of next week. :yay:

Since you're in Colorado, I'd consider going to Salt Lake City and having Cortney Green tune your car when it's complete.

What engine management does he tune? That would definitely be closer than Colorado Springs and probably a little less strenuous on the engine.

He likes Neptune. He is truly amazing, have you never heard of him before?

Watch this recent video of his car:
