Regarding your bottom-end, is there anything needed to do to the crankshaft to widthstand the added power? Also, will you be putting the rotating assembly in or will a shop do this for you?
I could have the bearing journals micropolished and the crank balanced but everything looks good, so I am going to skip that. I am debating whether I want to drill out the oil galley plugs to clean out the galleys and then replace with threaded plugs. The crank is super strong because it is forged, so nothing major needs to be done to withstand tons of power.
I will be putting it all in myself. The machine shop is only going to bore and hone the block for me. Selecting bearing sizes, measuring clearances, and assembly is all going to be done by your's truely.
I talked to Mike at SLS today and he is fabbing me up a downpipe for the correct manifold as we speak, so I should have a new manifold in my hands at the beginning of next week. :yay:
