Brake pads replacement
Any suggestions on my LS '96 Teg brake pads replacement? 
I had it checked at an Acura service center and they estimated me at least $1000 for both rear brake pads (including brake fluid, labor, etc.). Will Pepboys, Sears or gas station service stations do for a more economical option? Should I buy brake pads and have it placed in a service center?
Would appreciate suggestions.

I'd say try and do it yourself (or find a friend to help you)..........it isn't really that hard - and you can save a lot of money.
$1,000 for brakes seems crazy to me......especially if all you need is pads (and possibly rotors).
Edit: I just read you post again, they quoted you $1,000 for JUST THE REAR? WOAH! You can definitely do better than that.
I.E.) You can buy AutoZone Lifetime Warranty pads (rears) for about $25.00 - and never have to buy them again. When they wear out, just bring them in and get a new pair. Are you sure Acura didn't try to incorporate something else in their quote? If it is just pads, they must be charging over $800 in labor - for an hour's worth of work.......WTF?

They did mention that the rotor and brake "caliper" replacement are included in the quote. I'm not really familiar with all these, any suggestions/comments would really help me for opinions.

Autozone offers Duralast gold which is supposed to be manufactured to meet the oem specs of the car's pads, $30-40 bucks for lifetime warrenty pads.

What symptoms are your brakes showing? Are they locked? If they aren't locked/frozen, I am guessing that you probably don't need a caliper(s). As was stated before, check out the article on Team-Integra.net. Otherwise, depending on where you are, I bet you could find someone from this board to help you out - it would be MUCH less expensive than a shop, and you might even learn a thing or two.
