I have the prolite. It is a good flywheel. Like I mentioned, your traction will be reduced with a lighter flywheel.

Why? Because of faster revving?

Because it puts more power to the wheels quicker than a stock weighted flywheel. And with my quick spooling turbo, it rips through the tires in first, second, and third if I give it more than 60% throttle.

Interesting, I would have attributed that to the clutch more than the flywheel. :dunno:

The clutch grabs like crazy, so I can only attribute it to the lighter flywheel. GSSR has a stock flywheel and isn't anywhere near as squirrelly as mine in lower gears. I do love the quick revving and insane throttle response from it, though...and since I never race it, I really can't complain about traction.

I saw the exedy on ebay w/a flywheel included for under 4bills. Would this be ok for my set up? Or is exedy just a shit brand all around?
I just finished breaking in my Exedy stage 1 clutch on my stock '95 GSR, its the first repair/upgrade I make on this car. I bought this because of the lower price compared to the ACT clutch and I know I won't be putting down any extra power other than i/h/e within the first year because I focus on suspension first. After 1000 miles of driving, I have to say that I really love this clutch compared to stock. It is a lot firmer than stock, but I have gotten used to it. I also just put in a B&M short shifter 2 nights ago- and now it feels better that ever! I don't know how reliable this clutch will be because I have never known anyone personally that has used it....

If I add any more power to my car, I will probably upgrade to an ACT kit next time. By the way, how long is a clutch supposed to last?
