All you would need after installation of the turbo itself is tuning. I think that you would be fine with a 190lph pump with that setup considering I am still running the stock pump with no problems.

You can upgrade the kit down the road if you decide. Here is what Greddy claims as base horsepower numbers with certain accessories:

Stock: 168hp
TD05-18G Turbo Kit w/o Intercooler: 235.2hp
Turbo Kit with Type 31 Intercooler: 261.4hp
Turbo Kit with Type 24 Intercooler: 270.3hp

Of course, these numbers can be improved a good amount with a good tuning setup like Hondata that has been tuned professionally on a dyno. There comes a point where adding more accessories to Greddy's kit doesn't satisfy and if you need more power, you should probably go with a kit that includes a larger turbo like a T3/T4. Also, increasing boost levels on the Greddy kit do not do much to increase HP. The kit is good to 300 hp and then it falls on it's face, so if you need more, look elsewhere.

The drag kit will reqire that you have a shop put the piping together for you cause what they sell pretty much just comes with the bends you need to install the piping. It needs to be fit to your car/motor.

The drag kit also comes with a larger turbo (T3/T4) and will have a lot more peak hp potential. You will get a faster spool out of the greddy kit, but it's all about what you want. The drag kit does not come with any tuning items either, like an FMU or EMS. The greddy kit comes with the e-manage now (replacing the untunable blue box). The e-manage is a somewhat tunable EMS making the greddy kit more complete.

to my knowledge, all 94-01 tegs are virtually the same in the engine bay. i know that the cat/header connection was a bit different between the years, but that's not that big of a deal.

You'll have to search around for the info you need. I don't have the time to find it all for you at the moment.

The reason it is for 96-99 GSRs is because the downpipe length differs from the 00-01 GSR and the ECU differs from the 94-95 GSR. You can run the Greddy 96-99 kit on a 94-95 GSR but you can't use the instructions they provide for hooking up the blue box, you need to find a pinout and splice the wires in differently since it is OBD1 not OBD2 like shown in the instructions.

Exactly, Greddy kit differs in the blue box and the downpipe depending on the year.

In terms of the Drag kit, it actually does come with piping that will fit to your application. So if you order a GSR kit and you have a GSR, that piping will slap right on, no need to fabricate anything. The LS TB also sits in a different position than the GSR TB, so if you got an LS kit the charge pipe to the TB will sit a bit different.

Drag kits come with a Vortech FMU and inline fuel pump last time I checked, but you dont want to use that for your fuel management. Better off doing it right from the beginning and going with Hondata/Neptune/AEM etc.

And as for those Greddy #'s, unless thats at 10PSI+, I wouldnt expect that.

I didn't know that DRAG had finally done away with the DIY piping - which is good. That's one of the things that turned me off to that kit, along with the deltagate they included (not sure if they still do).

I'm glad we're having these conversations. I'm actually learning a lot too.
