What causes idle to drop?
Quick way... you'll need some carb cleaner and a toothbrush. Inhook your intake tube and spray some carb cleaner down into the throttle body. Open the throttle plate with one hand and scrub the back of the plate and all around the perimeter of the bore and plate, repeat as necessary. Hold onto the little straw on the carb cleaner so it doesn't shoot into the manifold. Tune up time the throttle body should be removed to do a complete cleaning.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Maybe it's the way I drive with the stick? I still don't shift smoothly into gears. Sometimes I rev too much. It certainly didn't happen until I started driving it regulary. The person I bought it from is the original owner and he took really good care of it. *sigh* Maybe I shouldv'e just bought an automatic transmission car; saves me all the worry and trouble.
