Default HID from Junkyard??from acura TL?

Can you take the HID's from an acura TL 99 to present and put them in an Integra? Will it all fit and will the headlight housing melt if it gets too hot? I was thinking this would be a way to save lots of money. Any info would be great thanks.

plus im sure the junkyard owners know that HID are expensive so you might not save that much.

New from ebay ($300) vs. used old from the junkyard (saving a few bucks)

You can still use the ballasts from the TL with the correct D2S bulbs. Or you can modify the TL bulbs to fit, but it wont look particularly great.

I just checked and bulbs are no less than $100 for two. Just how much are you assuming to save from the junkyard?

Acura TL HID bulbs are a common target for thieves; I've heard countless stories from TL owners about waking up to find their hood rolled back and headlight assembly hanging by the wires. Most of these systems end up in civics but I know people have modified them to fit in integras

a guy i work with has tl hid's in his teg. it looks good, but the bulbs dont work right, they point down extremely far so he has to get some 9006/5 bulbs to put in. but the ballast and ignitor are the parts that are usually the most expensive.

HID's won't MELT your housing, they opperate at almost half of stock bulbs, with about double light output.
What's with the P-shop wheels.

btw: F*ck the TL headlight thieves. :madfawk:
