hmmm 2 guys who havent used this board to learn anything from.
Try a search on HID lighting and you will understand why 8000K, 6000K lights are more show than go.

This one's for the both of you.. :slap:

Man.. I know how to use SEARCH key alright~~ huh..
basically HID is HID .. and if i can get good deal on it.. why not?
Even if i get a 12000k HID would see better at night than Stock bulbs, you know what i am saying..?
so, you are here to give out comments and supports not talking sh!ts~ if you don't know anythign then stay away. be funny boy wherelse~

I know the most visible one's in HID's are 4300k and 4800k kit..
simply because higher than 5000k, Human won't able to see it so that's why 4300k and 4800k are the best choice to get. But in fact Hella 4800k kit sees better than 4300k at night, how do you explain this? Still 4300k?. As for other kit, like 6000k outputs purplish and 8000k outputs bluish~

Anyway, reason why didn't consider to get 6000k is because it outputs purple and will get me busted.
Besides, in the color chart, blue is after PURPLE
which means blue is making more visiable
like white is higher than yellow
and blue is higher than white
that is how it goes
purple is between
white and blue
you look up for yourself.. no BS.

and back to the topic... any HID is better than Non-HID.. so there you go and here i am.

the K stands for the COLOr
the brightness is based on the ballasts output
like if your ballasts system
all do 35W the 4300K compared to 8000K will seem less bright cuz blue will stand out more
purple is less bright than blue
but all colors other than white even green will be more bright than 4300K which is standar oem white
makes sense the K is the Kelvins color
not brightness necessarily
the brightest kits out there are german ones but phillips that cost like arm and LEG
its not available in North America
or else i woudl buy that its a 40W hid conversion
instead of 35W

No disrespect RpG~^_^~LauRnO, but i agree with EliteAccord about the issue on whether you're looking for color or brightness. The best buy if the blue color is your main concern would probably be to buy a bulb that gives you that blue color you're lookin for, which is less costly. I do agree with you in a sense that having HID over non-HID is a plus, but you have to consider that for the amount you'll be spending no matter how cheap, the amount of visible light should be one your main concerns. You don't just wanna buy an HID kit that just looks as good as what an aftermarket bulb can do because getting an HID kit that does that defeats the purpose of having an HID kit in the first place. Anyways good luck in your search!!!

Don't get 8000k. That is way too blue and does not put out as much light as 6000 or 43000

Not to nitpick, but it would be nice if you brushed up on your sentence structure. I know not everybodies English is perfect, but for Christ sakes!

On another note, if you want an intelligent answer maybe you should present a question in an intelligent manner.
