Default Applying pressure to the brake causes drop of idle

I have a '84 Honda Prelude with 80,000k.

My car has idled very funny since I bought it.

I have been told it could be EGR valve, a problem with the vaccum hoses, and some other things too.

This occurance may help me with a more definitive answer.

Applying a lot pressure to the brake causes the idle to drop, sometimes enough for it to stall. [Only tested at inital (cold) start.]

Could this indicate vaccum problem????
