My 2000 GS-R owners manual states 105K miles for the timing belt. Did they change something in the engine on the newer cars or just change the number in the book?

Well, presuming the fluid is indeed clutch fluid, then your master cylinder has probably sprung a leak, or perhaps the seal on the piston is wearing out. If the fluid is leaking directly from the master cylinder, your best bet is to replace the master cylinder outright, as a unit IMO.

cant you do a pressure check of the clutch master cylinder to find leaks? what if it was the seal on the piston...how difficult would it be to replace?

OHHH GREAT TOPIC! I'm just looking right now at getting my timing belt done (92k) - i called the dealer .. for a T-belt, new drive belts, and a water pump the want $780!!! - I called around and I found a place that will do it all for 220 labor .. then whatever the cost of parts (its marked as a 3 hour job). . anyway so somewhere inbetween there should be decent.

I also have a leak coming from the clutch pedal .. my clutch fluid is dark brown and i think it means my seals are shot .. i have a helms manual - How easy is it to put a new master cylinder in? Also - if my clutch master cylinder has a leak .. would that make my clutch pedal feel really loose? or is my clutch actually going out? It never slips out of gear but the pedal is really easy to push in/out and it can come out almost all the way before it starts to transfer power.

Sorry about the long post .. please let me know what you find out

Yeah, a leaky clutch master cylinder would indeed make the pedal feel loose.

awesome .. well not awesome but a hellevah lot better than putting a clutch in. . i checked on team integra.net and it looks as if this is a common problem. I'm gonna go pick up a master and slave cylinder from the dealer and slap on in .. people said it should be pretty easy and i have a helms .. i think i can work through it .. (timing belt on the other hand is going in). . thanks
