Default tapping noise

my 95 gsr with i/h/e has been tapping for awhile now. i just got it back from a valve adjustment today, but it still taps. i dont think its the valvetrain, but im not sure. tech said it's normal, but the tapping is pronounced more because of the header. its a dc 4-1 ss header... has anyone else had this problem? if so, what could the tapping be coming from, and is it normal?? any advice/info. would be great.

Same problem here. I got a vavle adjustment done yesterday and it still taps. I was told that high mileage integras are notorious for that. A top engine clean would help.

Some times you will hear forged pistons have piston slap. That can sound like "ticking" but in stock motors you shouldn't hear that. I wonder if it is just becuase the valves are worn.

don't forget, the stock injectors will start making a tapping sound when they get old.

Good call on the fuel injectors--they do sometimes tend to get a bit noisy.

on my LS motor (164K miles) they would tap soooo loudly. but it'd go away at a bit.

If I replace the injectors, the tapping will go away?

You can have them cleaned too, i cant remeber the site, but theres a place in the net that you can have them sent to for a 'clean and balance' can someone post up the link that knows it?
