Boosted B16a problem
I have a b16a2 build turbo'd, im using the following parts..
*je 9.0.1 pistons
*eagle rods
*cometic .051 h/gasket
*cheap ass t04e turbo
*fmic
*RC 440cc injectors
*38mm wastegate
*ngk bkr7e plugs (colder)
*255lph walhbro
*3 bar map sensor
*2.5" charge piping
etc etc
My motor has only just been built and i have installed the piston rings as per je instruct, but my motor burns oil particually on boost.
A freind recommends putting a bung in the exhaust to give it a bit of back pressure to resolve this as he says its the cheap ass turbo thats the problem....its the oil seal ring in the turbo doesnt house in place due to the cheap cast?
Does this sound right?
Also, just wandering whats the max boost/power ill beable to have with the 440cc's?

Have you done a compression and leakdown test on the motor to confirm whether it is a poor ring seal or blown turbo seals? Regardless, don't listen to your friend. What is backpressure going to do to help oil consumption in any way? Nothing.
You will have to see when you run out of fuel on those injectors. Do you know what your fuel pressure is? I know with my Walbro, it upped my fuel pressure so I am running a surprisingly low duty cycle for my power level. Those will be the limiting factor on your setup, so it may be worthwhile to upgrade sooner than later.

Its standard fpr at the moment, but i have a adj fpr to fit.

And point 29 is bogus. A free flowing exhaust reduces backpressure decreasing lag and engine temperatures. A turbo engine will always benefit from a free flowing exhaust of the proper size for the engine and turbo setup.
I've seen a few cars that were leaned out put out black or dark smoke. It only did it for a few days and then they poped! You could see it in the cylinder walls where the piston was rubbing. I don't know if it was oil burn off or what that was making the smoke.
A FPR isn't going to help without a gauge to see what your static pressure is. B&M is junk, so if you have one of those, get rid of it and get something that allows you to turn the pressure down.

My friend has a new turbo of a impreza sti (roller bearing turbo etc, he said the 1.8t audi/vw guys are making around 380hp with it.....mite use that as its a very reliable turbo.....especially as im running a ss autocrap one.

Yeh im gonna look into getting a new 57 trim one i think, but turbos aint cheap so i just need to find a reasonable price on a good quality garrett or something, thanks for the help.
