Default Is this possible

I'm thinking of placing a B20 crank into my B18c Block to increase the stroke. 1) Is this possible?
2) Which Connecting Rods and Bearings would I have to use in this set up?
3) Is it worthwile doin this, would there be any sinificant gains?
4) Would clearances be ok?

yes it's possible! you need LS or B20 Rods, GSR rod and crank bearings, and your TRQ will come on sooner! are you staying N/A or going Forced induction?

Is it possible? Yes

Is it worthwhile? Not really. You are only increasing stroke by 1.8mm and displacement by 37cc's. For all the work, that is hardly worth it, IMO.

Oh, and you would use B20/LS bearings if you are using a B20/LS crank and rods.

opinions differ, i've had the same oem gsr rod/ crank bearings in my lsvtec set-up for about 4 years and haven't had any issues with them at all. i shredded brand new oem LS rod bearings within a week of completing and the motor, but as i said opinions vary.

GSR bearings physically don't fit on the LS crank with LS rods unless the crank is machined down and GSR rods are run.

You shredded your original rod bearings because they were either clearanced wrong or the oil was starved of oil. There is no difference in performance between the two bearings.

Well can you tell me why the oem GSR bearings fit and i've had no problems what so ever. And no, the LS crank never went to the machine shop. when i checked the clearences and colors they came out to be the same!

OEM gsr/itr/ctr rod bearings are all high rev bearings, LS bearings aren't made for high rev do to the extra material in the Vtec bearings.
