Engine swap
I need some opinions.
I have been tryin to find some information on ITB's, but cant find much.
So any info you have would be gratefull.
And if you have them fitted to your car, tell me what you think of them.
Thanks!

pros
- throttle response
- broader powerband
- sound
cons
- price
- tuning
- price
personally, itb's should be the last mod you do to an already built engine when you're looking for that last bit of hp. you can make the same if not more power with a properly sized intake manifold and tb without the tuning headahces associated with itb's.
if you're in the uk, check out www.jenvey.co.uk the best itb's imo

I have just had a look on jenvey.co.uk and it has a set for £685 and two other sets for £939 and it dosent say what the difference is.
I know they should be the last mod you should buy, but i like them

Sorry, but what do you mean whan you say TPS?
tps = throttle position sensor
map = manifold absolute pressure
when using a conventional intake manifold setup there's plenty of vacuum in the plenum for the map sensor to see. with itb's there's not so much because there no longer is a plenum. so you have an easier time tuning them based solely on the tps.

Would i need a diffrent ecu or a re-program chip with software that can read tps?
neptune does a great job of tuning itb's
I think i should find somewere that has tuned with ITB's first befor i order them. Which will be quite hard in the UK i think.
And i was thinking of getting a 4.7FD insead of the standard 4.4.
Are they worth changing?
I woul have to order the board and software and then find somewere in the UK that knows how neptune softwear works and knows how to tune by ITB.

personally i would go as high as a 4.9fd for even better acceleration. downsides to this would be a higher cruising rpm unless you mix and match gears from other tranny's. if you can live with this go for it.
i was just brainstorming the other day of a tranny with b16 1-3, gsr 4, ls 5, 4.9fd, and an lsd. this would give nice acceleration while having reasonable cruising rpm's.
