Default free F23 block

Hey,
I can pick up a F23 out of a 2.3 CL, bottom end, for free. Is it worth my time? Can I put a DOHC vtec head on it, like a H22A head? I know the f series and h series are pretty closely related, so just asking is all.

the f is a SOHC and the h is a DOHC. no way can you have that head/block combo.

nope. not worth your time. just pick up the block for free, then instead of putting money into a head swap, which you wont be able to do without thousands of dollars to burn, build up the F23 block.....or..... pick it up, try to sell it, sell your engine, and buy a straight H22.
