Default H22 head on F23 block?

Has any1 tried this before? Will it fit without too much problem? If it does, is it worth it? Since a full H22 swap is too costly, what about just doing a head swap? How much hp+tq gains should I expect just by swapping the F23 head for the H22 head?

The money and time wasted on doing that could be easily saved by doing the full swap, or hell just get a bottle and have fun.

Last time I read up on the subject I found out that u can only do that with same family engines. H to H , B to B, and F to F..... U get the point. Going from sohc to dohc would also be a huge problem even if u decided to force the h22 on the f23. Its not worth it and nearly impossible. You would be playing the role of a Honda engineer trying to make a new engine.

I would like to have one of these engines but their hard get and I have an automatic. There's a 20hp difference depending on what transmission you have I think. So I guess I'll stick with the f23. My next car will be manual though.

You will be very happy if u swap in a manual transmission. I don't now how much it would cost but the accord has a lot more life with a 5spd. If u were considering this head swap maybe a 5spd would be within ur reach. A stock i4 5spd can chirp the stock wheels on dry pavement going from 1st to 2nd, to give u an idea of the differance.
