How hard would it be to but the 2000 Civic SI engine into a 2000 Civic EX? What about an Integra LS engine? Of these two, which am I better off putting in if I want to build it up?
Thanks

Common guys, this is the pre-92 section, as in Civics and CRX's that are 1991 model year or older.

For a decent junkyard engine, look for a D16A6 (88-91 Si) or a D16Z6 (92-95 EX/Si.)

Default 1990 Acura Integra 4 Door, Swao in a CRVtech

I was just wondering what Might be involved with swaping in the popular CRVtech into a 1990 4 Door Acura Integra. Also I want to switch the car From Auto To Manual as Auto is For Grandmas(IMHO). I'd buy a Manual But I was just offered the car for $600 because My co-workeer needs to get rid of it. Thanx..

Pre-92, kids!

If by aftermarket EFI you mean a Haltech, Wolf, Microtech, or similar full stand-alone EMS, you don't need much. 94-01 Integra engine mounts, 94-01 Integra shift linkage, that's about it besides swapping a couple wires and a complete retune of the EMS.

That's assuming the B16 trans you have is hydrolic.

I've got a busted 95 Civic DX and I need to swap out my motor because the d15b7 is dead. I was hoping to upgrade to a motor with a tiny bit more power to it, like the d16z6. From what I understand it'll mount up to everything I already have in the car, just need to get an ECU that can handle the vtec. So is this all I need or is there more? Need to get an answer fairly quick because I keep getting shit from everyone.

also: Can't really upgrade to a b18b or any B-series because my funding is severely limited so a low budget swap is the only way I can go.

I got a SI tranny I want to bolt into my eng. bay. should this work complete drop in? what axles and will they fit? and the ecu is it plug and play or are there any differences to watch for. I just recently purchase a 2000 lx engine so I will be that upgrade: the reasons for the lx - well its a 2000 motor and I got for 150.00- so I will keep it OBD-0 and just need questions on the tranny part and ecu. I wish I had the Tax return alot ppl got but I am happy with setup and in the future will do some modifying to this engine. For right now stock is it. And well I dont have a time frame of when to swap it in but I am kinda of leaning towards two more weeks so I get paid again and use that towards any thing I must have missed.

I think! that any non vtec dohc parts are interchangeable. use the tranny from your teg. and ecu everything should just swap over. to keep obd-0 you use obd-0 distributor / injectors / ecu. and the injector resistor box.
I think that is it.
