You know you never gave a good reason why it's so much better. Maybe if you would cut down on the 6th grade replies, it'd be more credible.

so are you saying you dont believe that turbo makes your motor more reliable than a supercharger??? there isnt any point in mobbing the thread with comments that have nothing to do with the topic at all, pm me if you have more questions, i'll try my best to enlighten you
have a good day

Turbo is better for a daily driver because of the lag; you don’t want to be boosting 100% of the time. You’ll get better gas mileage and it will be more drivable in stop-and-go traffic. If you’re cruising around town reving to about 3500 you’ll have your stock drivability and when you want to go fast you just keep the RPMs higher, that’s what you’re going to do when you race anyway, no one races at 3500RPM… I don’t have any FI but if I did do anything it would be turbo, the lag is good. Also if you have a super you’ll be boosting right from the start, that can’t be good for the tires if they’re always chirping or spinning (depending on your driving skill). Also supers are more expensive(I think ), and then you’ll get worse gas mileage and your rubber will ware faster… maybe more money in the long run. Just my 2 cents

supercharger isnt more expensive. go down to dtr get a traction bar full left full rite and no rub. u wont have problem with traction. also this discussion can go on forever its more of a personal opinion type of thing and the type of power band u want. im going to have to agree with blulude that in the end supercharger will be more relibable. but if u want powaA then its a different story.

If you autocross or plan to, a supercharger is a better choice (IMHO.) A turbo will create more peak power but a s/c will keep the linear power delivery and a flatter torque curve, which adds up to more predictability and torque down low where its sometimes needed to pull you out of a tight corner.

Turbos can be hard to keep at the limit since the same amount of pedal pressure will create varied results as the turbo spools up. The torque boost of the turbo as it kicks in feels great in a straight line but not when it takes u off course in the autox.

Autocrossing a Honda with any kind of forced induction setup is going to bump you way the hell out of any class where you'll be competitive so that won't really matter.

I've seen s/c civics take the FTD at autox, maybe the competetion is tougher in your area.

If it's the Corpus Christi/Rio Grande Valley, only one person ran SM in two years... that was until the little B18C went boom and the person went humbley back into the Street Prepared class from which he came.

There are a number of good non-SCCA/NASA clubs though that will allow just about anything to run though... making classes where necessary. It's all fun stuff, obviously, with no sort of prizes other than bragging rights.

Indeed, which is mainly why I wouldn't limit myself to a supercharger when a turbo is going to make more power, because of supposed hypothetical competitive limitations.
