If it's the Corpus Christi/Rio Grande Valley, only one person ran SM in two years... that was until the little B18C went boom and the person went humbley back into the Street Prepared class from which he came.

There are a number of good non-SCCA/NASA clubs though that will allow just about anything to run though... making classes where necessary. It's all fun stuff, obviously, with no sort of prizes other than bragging rights.
