You can't do much with an intake on a GS-T since you can't bypass the MAS. Also there's no such thing as a header on a gst. And exhast can range anywhere from 5hp to 20whp... be more specific.

I'll just use your own statement against you.

There is something wrong with your friends SR-240. How much boost was he running? Less than stock? LOL

At stock boost, I hung with a supercharged GSR hatch.

don't be so quick to make judgement about cars without considering the whole picture:
alot of times, driver makes a WHOLE lot of difference, and keep in mind most SR20s in the states are from wrecked cars from Japan that's been sitting there who knows for how long.

NA 240s aren't necessarily boats, it depends alot on the driver. Usually the consensus on stock manuals is very high 15s and 16 flats. But I've seen stock cars run mid 15s (of course, good driver).

The thing about the KA24DE motor is it runs out of breath very early in the RPMs, you you have to shift early (depending on gear), alot of ppl do not know this and ignore this. The S14's power starts to drop about 5500+ (redline of 6500). and When I say drop, I mean obscenely drop.

well it all depends on if its a 1g or 2g GST

the 1g can make a lot of HP on the stock turbo, if you know what your doing

of course 1G AWD cars with a 14b have hit high 12's with 3in turbo back, MBC, a better fuel pump and some other cheap and easy mods, we are talking stock sidemount also.

He was at 7lbs, and I run him all the time hes a good friend of mine so were allways cruising together, and that same statement u made can be used on u, maybe the GSR hatch wasnt running right.

7 lbs is about right for the 2G T25 also, it makes peak somewhere around 12psi, but thats strainin the wheel.

the DSM takes more abuse than the 240

those 2G cars are garbage anyway, they can be made to go really fast with 1G parts tho. plus after 92.5 they all came with 7bolt motors, which 25% of all existing 7bolts have already crank-walked according to DSMTuners.

a 1G DSM should not be underestimated even if it was only free modded

a kid i know can spin 3rd gear at 60 just by stomping the gas, and burn em al the way till 4th if he wanted.

and his car was bought+built for $2000

yeaaaaa...
i could have three 12sec DSM's instead of one prelude

yea...kinda makes me sick thinkin about it. a guy i know has a 92 eclipse gs-t with a big 16g turbo, turboback exaust, bc, fmic...and other basic upgrades. when he still had the stock turbo with some of those mods he would pull like crazy on me once we were in 3rd gear. before 3rd it was about even tho. now i have a few more mods (i was untuned then w/ stock injectors and cat)...but i know i wouldn't be able to take him. his car and all his mods combined are around $3000.

n/a ka 240's maybe pretty slow but when turbo charged they are very fast! They have great low end torque and can take a good amount of boost on a stock bottom end.
