Cant use a stock DX ECU and go DPFI... You will need the CRX/Civic Si ECU (PM6).

Heres a few write ups on DPFI to MPFI...

Yeah, I've got a CRX with a D16Z6 with the 1.6 litre v-tec in it. It's a SOHC.

If you're really looking for power and torque, I suggest looking at the K series engines. They're a little bit more expensive, but they are slowly becoming more common. 2.0 litres, 200 horsepower, approximately. If you want more details just PM me or visit www.k20a.org Those forums are full of stuff, and they have plenty of info for CRX swaps.

It is not a Zc then....it is even coded differently...

This is confusing!!!

According to this ,there is no ZC vtec...
Nothing better than going to the source (that's Hondas Japanese website). SOHC, DOHC non vtec, the vtec models are D15B's.

my block says D16Z6, and my head says SOHC V-TEC (Honda Motor Co.). It has 16 valves, 4 in each cylinder. It's the engine that was in the car when the car was originally purchased/made.

Hmm... Well I dont know then... That is strange, that asia.vtec.net is a reputable site for info... But if anyone should know Honda would... I went to that link, and only saw like a time line... Where is the page you are talking about?

I even searched for 'Honda Civic Ferio EXi' and found this site:

http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/ho..._ferio/1993_9/

Lists it as a 'ZC', but dosnt say if its VTEC or not... I know one time someone actually showed me pictures of the ZC stamp... Cuz the guy had it on an eBay auction, and I was e-mailing him telling him his info was wrong... So he sent me pics of the stamp... Sure enough it was stamped ZC... But I dont know... I suppose it could have been a Mini-me ZC... (SOHC nonVTEC with a D16Z6 head)

If you have a Crx that is NOT the engine that came with it stock. The d16z6 came in the 92-95 civic Si/Ex.
Stock 88-91 Crx's came with SOHC NON vtec 1.6's,the d16a6.

Then I must have a D16z6 block and a different SOHC VTEC Head. The guy I bought it from never told me he put a different head on it.

if you get a d series you should get a d16y8. better for boost and the crx si and hf distributor bolts right on not like the d16z6 that you have to modify the distributor.
