Yeah, I've got a CRX with a D16Z6 with the 1.6 litre v-tec in it. It's a SOHC.

If you're really looking for power and torque, I suggest looking at the K series engines. They're a little bit more expensive, but they are slowly becoming more common. 2.0 litres, 200 horsepower, approximately.
