Amp over heated???
Alright so My car was sittin in the school parking lot all day and it reached like 80 degrees. I was driving home from school and my system was goin and everything (Alpine SWR-12 and RF 451s amp). Im gettin close to bein home then all of a sudden my bass goes out. I'm not sure if this was my amp over heating or what...cuz i guess i'll admit i was playing it pretty loud and it was really hot day, but would this cause my problem is just the amp over heating??

Yeah it was probably overheating. If you've never been a situation like this before then thats what I'm guessing. I guess you can make sure that you aren't running too low of a resistance on your amplifier, and make sure that all your fuses are still unblown, but it sounds like an overheating problem to me. Where is your amp located?

My amps located on the floor but also when moved it i blew the oringal fuse (me being stupid) so we got a 30 instead of a 40 i think but i think if the fuse would have blown it wouldnt work at all, its works fine now

did you check to see if it went into protection mode at the time? since you have time, you should just replace that 30a back to the original 40a.
you say the amp is on the floor, but is it under the seat? or sitting wide in the open. i remember going for a 1.5 hour drive in 90+ degree weather bumping the system hard the whole way. at the end of the drive, the amp was so hot, i couldnt keep my hand on there for more than a couple seconds. but it never went into protection mode.
keeping the amp on the floor is fine in terms of keeping it cool, but just make sure it gets some air and is able to dissapate the heat easily.
