Yeah it was probably overheating. If you've never been a situation like this before then thats what I'm guessing. I guess you can make sure that you aren't running too low of a resistance on your amplifier, and make sure that all your fuses are still unblown, but it sounds like an overheating problem to me. Where is your amp located?
