Default Infinity BassLink 10" Subs

Does anyone have any experience with these self powered subs? Good or bad comments welcomed.

I am thinking of adding it to my set up of Alpine 9827 HU, Infinity Reference 6000cs components in front, and "to be determined" speakers in back. The front and rear speakers will be powered with a RF P4004 amp (50a4), and I have a RF 75W subwoofer amp (driving a pioneer 10") so I don't really need a self powered amp, but the Bass Link set up look nice (and compact). My subwoofer is about 10 years old, so I am thinking of putting in something newer.

use the RF amp to power a small sub, don't add rear speakers and call it a day - so much easier to install, smaller foot print and it will sound better... IMO of course.

Then again, every response I have heard about the Basslink has be generally positive. It's one of those products that will round things out, but don't expect the best sounding or the loudest bass from it. IT's one of those products that - IMO - works best when added to a factory system for a little low end.

That was kind of the picture that I got too - factory add on.

I will probably just upgrade to a better quality subwoofer and be happy using my smaller RF amp, maybe get a 2 channel for the fronts. Anyone know why G-logic or MTX do not make a good vehicle specific box for the hatchback area of the teg? Seems like many of us could use a custom fit 10" box.
