can you hear the rattle from the inside? or when you are on the outside?

if you are hearing it from the inside over the sound of the stereo, you may want to start looking for the cause of the problem. hearing it from the outside is pretty normal for hondas.

well, you have to isolate each rattle then go from there. one thing that will rattle is the lic. plate. you can add a foam backing to where the plate makes contact with the bumper.

things rattle when they are hitting against something else, or if its something thin, such as sheet metal, flexing. either put something soft to prevent 2 hard surfaces hitting against each other, or put some weight on the sheet metal (dynamat, or the like).

it just takes a bit of time locating each noise.

my trunk rattles really bad but i started fixing it today i started just tightening all the tailight bolts and liscence plate bolts and the bolts attaching the spoiler. i gonna make new gaskets to stop the rattling with cheap mouse pad because the material absorbs alot. one other thing ive seen done that sounds good is use expanding foam between the trunk sheet metal and the trunk braces, if you do it right that kills alot of rattle

you guys think if i make a fiberglass enclosure for my sub and insolate the whole thing good with foam.... .would that kill some of the rattle.. but oviously i still need to insolate/tighten up all the stuff outside like the bumper and the spoiler and the lic. plate. what do you guys think?
