Those panels are made from perforated aluminum sheet, and then were covered with mat - a few self tapping screws and you have sealed doors. There's mat around the edges to seal where necessary.

There's 3 layers of mat on the doors, 3 cans of stinger road kill between the two doors on the inner door skins.

Then a 1/8" layer of foam...

Here's what it looks like with the baffles for the mids installed...the mids will fit behind the factory grilles!

Can you explaing a bit where the spray on road kill went? How do you keep the rods that operate the door locks from sticking to the mat and what is the foam for?

It went on the inner door skin (the piece of metal that your door panel - the plastic one - attaches to). It's difficult to see in any photos because it is black.

There is no mat over them. The panel that covers the rods has a bend in it to allow the rods to actuate smoothly.

and what is the foam for?
Two things:

1. It pads the door panel from the door, keeping it from buzzing and vibrating
2. It's a good absorber of high frequency material. It should keep the road noise down

Where did you get the kick panels and the baffles? I'm going to do an install in a 240SX almost right after I get it. I want the best non-show sounding car. I plan on having 2 adire midbasses and Focal Components. I want to know where to get those baffles and kick panels. I've seen some universal q-logic ones, but that's not necessarily "universal" I was wondering who makes yours.

I do

I custom build every part of my systems...

I have not built the kicks yet, but they will be fiberglass and MDF. The baffles were built with a router, circle jig, and MDF.
