Man, I wish I could make some baffles like those. I also with I could make kicks, but I found a place that'll mold them for something like 150 bucks.

i was gonna start sound dampening my doors but i think my acuator is going so ill have to get that fixed first First passenger side now drivers. Maybe i should just use spray on so it can be serviced later without having to tear the raamat off. Just unsure of my application skills. Cant wait to see the kicks.

My doors have NO rattles at all using this method....the CXs are like little mini subs right now. They sound great and have solid response down to around 50Hz...

I can't wait to see the kicks too....oh shit, that means I have to start building them....good thing I bought some knytex last week...

I'm just not looking forward to itchy hands....I may start the trunk first....

...I still wish I could do this.

What kind of subs do you plan on?

I'm going to run either one IDMAX v2 d2 or a pair of IDQ12 v2 d4's. The max will be either sealed or IB and the IDQ's would be sealed for sure...the trunk is really the only point of indecision right now...

This is great work, and great coverage of your work. Do you plan to install an alarm system as well, or do you already have that in place? I'd love to know more about alarm installs.

I wish I could make myself tackle a project that large... I'll run the wires somewhat like this, but all the sound deadening is too big a project for me to tackle right now.

Here's a quick look at what I'll be installing in the next week or so in my '99 Integra. I should really replace the lame Kenwood speakers, but that'll have to wait.

Alpine CDA-9815 plus Alpine TUA-T020XM XM-tuner module
Alpine CHA-S634 CD Changer
JL Audio 500/5
Kenwood KFC-P603 6½" Component set (in doors)
Kenwood KFC-1687 6½" 3-way speakers (rear side panels)
JL Audio CS210R-W0 PowerWedge enclosure

It should be decent little system.

sorry to bring up and old thread but i was wondering why you didn't use raamat on the doorskin? Im gonna buy some soon and was jsut wondering if i would be better off getting some spray on stuff or a roll of rammat? Does one work better than the other? Just trying to get a handle on it before I buy.
