Sorry Linda, but no, I don't feel you. You claim that you "budget really well", but you are about to increase your investment in a car you still owe 18 grand on by another $1200 each month??? Good lord, how many months will you be paying this work off? And on top of all that, you say you are taking over half the payments on your mom's Mercedes?? I'm no financial expert, but this doesn't sound very smart to me. Of course, I don't know you well enough to make that call. I suppose you could be making over $100k a year in some great job, but then again, you said you were still in school, so I don't know what to think...

anyway, taking 1/2 the payment of my mom's ride probably won't happen. knowing my father, he'll probably just give it to me. and as for owing 18k on it...that's what happens when you buy a new car. ...think about that one... and i only pay 350 a month (petty cash) so aint no thang but a chicken wing...
i do buget very well, thank you very much, and i have extra money after the 1200 a month and car payment, etc...
1200 a month is what I will pay to pay it fast. i'll probably pay for like 3 or 4 months. that's it...no sweat off my back...
oh, and by the way, school means college. I'm going to get my bachelors and masters....

it's just the tail conversion is what's getting me. i know you're building a show car, but IS300 / altezzas aren't the best option. there are nicer tails to swap to. [/B]

About the work, since you asked for opinions, I'm not really into the show car thing, so I can think of much better things than 1200 a month for 2-3 months. I'd do the screen, but all the fiberglass stuff just doesn't seem worth it to me.
But it is your car, do what you want.

i just dont see how the IS300's tails could go on your coupe successfully... the rear end of the coupe seems way to sqaure for the IS300 lights, and i just dont see them fitting.

Take a chill pill Linda, jschmid is cool and has alot of knowledge (he's one of the most helpful members on this site). Trust me don't get on his bad side, you are taking things personal. You might want to reconsider even posting your car pics, it might be to intense for you.
Remember your on the internet and half of these negative people would not talk to you like this face to face.Know the difference between people who give constructive criticism and people who are just flat out negative peeps.

I didn't want to say it in my last post, but I thought I caught a whiff of poor-little-rich-girl syndrome going on here, and you've pretty much confirmed my suspicions with your comment about how daddy will probably just give you your mom's old Benz to drive. Gee, must be nice not to have to EARN things...
And please don't condescend to someone you don't even know about how $18,000 in car payments is "what happens when you buy a new car...think about that one..." Sorry dear, but I've thought about it plenty. I just bought a new 03 Accord Coupe EX-V6 a month ago. I paid $16,000 down and financed the rest, a little over 10 grand. So, do you still live at home? I only ask because for most of us living in the real world $350 a month is most definitely not "petty cash" and you never mentioned rent or a mortgage payment. Speaking of school, I just finished my PhD earlier this year and got a pretty good job here in Athens, but I can assure you that amount of money is not as insignificant as you would make it out to be, not to me and the other hard-working people I know. Look, if you are a spoiled little rich girl, that's fine, you certainly wouldn't be the only one I've known (I've dated plenty of sorority chicks in this town who roll brand-new BMW convertibles their parents bought them), but don't just assume that everyone else lives life as you seem to...
