But thats just my opinion.
Okay, reliablitly aside...I can see comparing the Accord coupe to the Camry Solara.

But the Comparing the design of the Accord to a 300M and a Bonneville?

Not even close to being in the same class.

And now this is my OPINION: Pontaic styling (as well as 90% of GM styling) is just wacked. I mean come on...hasn't the body cladding seen it's day? Isn't it time to move on?

My mom has a Bonneville. She likes it. Why? Becuase she's 60 years old. She wants to feel safe in a huge ass car and wants it to ride super soft.

I personally can't stand driving it because of the size and ride, and mainly because I feel like I'm driving an old persons car.

I can't speak for the 300M, but I would imagine it's similiar. I don't think they'll even let you buy either of those cars unless you are over 40 years old. :fawk:

Okay, I was joking at the last part, so please don't jump down my throat.

DJ...while you are calling the Accord coupe a "Cougar" maybe you should compare the styling of the new Solara with the new Tiburon.

Well, the Accord compares more to the likes of the Sebring Sedan perhaps, or the Dodge Stratus, but it DEFINITELY compares to the GRAND PRIX in the Pontiac lineup----the Bonneville may be stretching it, but still....ALL of Honda's press releases on the Accord contstantly target the car at the Grand Prix as a "stylistic bullseye"....and so what if 60 year old people are driving Bonnevilles? Like there arent any 60 year olds driving Accords? All I see around here, depending on when you cruise, are senior citizens in Accords of all years; I see young people in Bonneville SSEi supercharged sedans all the time....

The new Accord IS NOT a replacement for the Prelude.

You don't think Honda comes close to Toyota in reliability? Do you have any justification or proof of this?

Most buyers would be just fine with a 4spd auto. A 5spd sequential is more than expected IMO. Toyota offering a 6spd tranny on the solara would just bring more of a variety of vehicle buyers... and not too many people are looking for a 6spd in a toyota.

thats the best way i can put it.
The Accord is not a replacement for the Prelude. The Acura RSX is more in line with a Prelude than any Accord, even the six speed. But the RSX was never intended to replace the Prelude, just the Integra. There is no replacement for the Prelude right now, and I don't think there are any on the books for the near future. As for people not looking for a manual transmission in a Toyota proves my opinion and the opinions of many others here..... TOYOTA IS THE BUICK OF JAPAN! Weak sauce.

I should have said... the Accord 6speed coupe is really a prelude replacement.. it does just about everything + more than a prelude did previoulsy.

And to my comment about not wanting 5spd/6spd in a toyota goes along the lines of those people who think and and act like you. Hondas are more popular for younger people because they get all riced out.

Chill it with the personal insults...... you have no idea who I am and you assume just because I think a sports coupe should offer a manual transmission that I am a ricer? So I put an intake and a K&N filter on my car, that makes me a ricer? Nice.
