I forgot to add that my cup holder lid is also kinda broken. I temporarily fixed it for the moment.

The cover that sits on top of the spare wheel has started to sag - will replace soon.

Forget the 6 gen and go for a 99 si... I had one traded it for a 6 gen and have been kicking myself in the ass eversince... It's the most expensive and crappiest honda I've ever owned. The interior rattles more than my 99 si and my 93 del sol and it's pulled to the left since the day I picked it up. In comparo to my si it doesn't handle as well, the insurance is more, it gets worse gas mileage, it doesn't look as good, and if you're looking for after-market parts for a V6 hope your dad is bringing the bank again... but that's just my opinion.

If you're young enough for your father to buy you a car, you don't need a fast one. Trust me when I tell ya. I was 16 once. I wanted nothing but a fast car. Now that I am 10 years older and see all the 16 year olds driving like maniacs, I am glad all my parents gave me was a 1985 Buick Regal with 130,000 miles, rotted out door panels and wheel wells, and a 2 bbl carb'd V6. Hardly a speed demon. I tried to peg the needle out over 85 and ran out of floor space!!!! Thats the kind of car everyone should have for their first one. They learn to work hard if they want a nice car.

Check this out, maybe it will help you make your decision. But maybe nothing will hold you back from buying your accord, I know because thats how I was before I got it. Truthfully, the worst car I ever had in my life. Never will buy Honda ever again!

1.6% my friend is what HONDA says. Does it ****en look like only 1.6% of the people in this forumn have the tranny problem. HELL NO! There is no damn the number is only 1.6. How can it be when, everyone you has this problem. When you go to the dealership and the have 5 scheduled tranny changes everyday. 1.6 is what Honda says to somewhat cover their bare naked ass. They give us Bullshit, and wow, some of you actually beleive it! YOU DO THE MATH!

Please tell me you're not going to post in every forum about how bad your experience was thus every Honda is a piece of garbage. Please don't do that. I ask very nicely.

I do not know of anyone personaly whose had the tranny problem, nor do any of the dealerships in my area. And I believe you are the second person to post on HAN about have a real problem. So all things considered, I'd say the 1.6% is a very good estimate, +/- 1%.

Obviously, you haven't had the tranny issue. Don't worry, if it hasn't happened yet, it'll probably happen when you have 101K and you don't have a warranty anymore. I paid $4000 for my first tranny that went out, and wait about 3 months before Honda actually reimbursed me. Thank god they actually did. You pay the $4000, and spend half your life at the dealership, and you too my friend will be posting your bad experience everywhere you can. I'm just trying to help somebody from getting screwed. Be smart, and buy yourself and Toyota, Nissan, or hey even a FORD, They less problems. I can't speak for everybody, but I could definetly speak for myself, and thats why HODNA now has a lawsuit pending. They will give every penny that I paid for my honda 2 years ago!
