Default Notorious problems with the 6th gen. Accords, post them here...

I want to get a 6th gen. Accord, but my father decided that he will not buy me an old car, because it is more likely to break down. I want to know the big problems with 6th gen. Accords, so I can convince my father to buy me one.

If someone can come up with a reason why he should allow an H22 swap, I am all ears.

you should get an H22 swap because F23 are SLOW!!!
But then again you should NOT because a F-Max TURBO is BETTER than H22. The bad thing about the 6th is the auto tranny sucks, V6 for 98 and 99 blows esp. the auto tranny, they worked out the kinks in 2000. So you get alot of wind noise, yeah my accord sucks.

First off...if your dad is buying your car, be happy with what ever he is willing to buy.

Second of all...Accords in general are going to more reliable than about 95% of the cars out there.

On my 99 the only problem I have is the clock light going out. That's pretty amazing after 60K miles if you ask me.

About the speed...I don't really care that the F23 isn't real fast. If I wanted a fast car, I wouldn't have gotten an Accord.

I've got just over 80,000(got it with 40,000) on my 6th gen and haven't had a problem yet. I've just had to get oil changes. That's it.
