Here in Atlanta, actually last Wednesday I tested the AV6 6-speed and it was tight!! The sticker on it was right @ 26k, and the salesguy said that the person who was gonna buy it got tired of waiting for it to come so he bought another car which made the AV6 6-speed available. Don't know how dealer inventories are running on this thing, everyone I talk to says that they are in limited supply. But anyway, the performance is awesome, everything that I am missing from my 2002 Accord I-4. It has upgraded stereo and the brakes are pretty good too. It just needs to be lowered, and some tint, etc. But so far it's a great deal!

 

Drive the TSX before you diss it...it is much better than the Accord. Just as fast, with far better handling and driving characteristics. And that 6 speed is :drool:

Out of that group, I would definetly buy the TSX. It has so much more that the Accord doesn't...360 watt 8 speaker sound system, 8 inch navi screen, SportShift in the automatic, etc etc.

 

The TSX is sweet ass, I just wish they had managed to get 220 HP out of it.

 

Me too, but with a 6 speed it's still as fast/slightly faster than the Accord V6

 

I agree, if you want something sporty get the TSX, remember even though the accord coupe looks sporty on the outside, its still a family car underneath which means the suspension will be more forgiving and more body roll. The TSX has a sport tuned suspension and before you go dissing the power, go drive an RSX and you will see how fast 200hp can really get you going (its lighter than the tsx i know but still...).

 

Exactly. TSX also has a lot more torque. The K24 feels exactly like a small V6 until you hear that metallic ping in the upper rev range that all 4 bangers have. I'd say the TSX will be slightly slower than the RSX, figure a .3 or so difference in the 1/4 mile.

Obviously not, when you look at the stats. Similiar weight(I think the TSX weighs about 100 pounds less or so), similiar transmission, lots more horsepower and torque for the Accord.

 

i would say on a straight line, any 7th gen accord v6 can take the tsx.

 

If the TSX has an expert driver, it would be an interesting race. Car and Driver is estimating 0-60 time at 6.6 seconds, and they're usually conservative...the 7th gen Accord V6 automatic has never gone below 6.9 that I've seen. Obivously coditions very and such, but I've never seen a time below 6.9.
