Default Ok guys....

forget about the whole redline thing and the family car bologne , that the good thing about Honda with VTEC , u can redline these cars all freakin day , i reccomend to pamper ur car oil changes and run 93 octane so that if your a redline lover you experience the power of these engines with no problems , my 94 accord ex 9 (5 speed) i redline it to 6500 before it shuts me down , which I dont make a big deal cause the car roars big time and people who ride with me love it. So what the engine wears down , everytime its on its a constant battle of metal in there ..just do the oil changes thats my thing!!! and ohh yeah , im gonna put a H22 for the reason its DOHC , if all accords were DOHC i wouldnt do the swap but it aint over here in the USDM , so change is coming u Orlando Honda Haters!!! peace

nope...to what i've seen their ALL sohc....unless i'm wrong. It looks like honda can engineer any engine to supliment for another OHC....maybe we dont need em anymore ;-) J/k...its just made for the "higher" level of performance, accords i believe will always use sohc.....until its really cheap to go either way. Hopefully the next generation(8th) will offer a v6 dohc..that would be sweet indeed!

I think you guys have missed a point though. Yah sure.. redline a car deep, but meanwhile the car has effectivly stopped making POWER and TORQUE at around 5800-6100RPM (less if its a nonvtec car).. so what the hell is the point besides making more noise than your opponent?

Now I have drop my shift point to 5500rpms. I still feel the power. After that it just drops dramatic.
