When i first start my car it idles at like 1800-2000 rpms, and usually after a while it goes down to maybe 1200. but my question is what the normal idle speed is. Also, the rev limiter is what you use to adjust it right??
another thing is when im driving in usually 4th gear and let off the gas and coast, sometimes the engine rpms bounce up and down from like 1000rpms to 1500 back and forth without me giving it any throttle... is that normal or whats the problem there? thanks for the help guys

It's normal for Hondas to idle a bit high until they're warmed up, then the idle speed drops to whatever spec is supposed to be. Does your RPM only bounce around while you're coasting, or does it do it at idle as well? I don't know much about Vigors, but it sounds like an IACV problem if your RPM is bouncing like that. As for your idle speed, it should be listed on that sticker on the underside of your hood. I'm guessing for an AT, it'll probably be 750RPM +/- 50.
could also be the fast idle valve on automatics located under the throttle body. contains the same "wax" components as the IACV that a proned to fatigue after many years in service. check both.
