hey does anyone know if i have a rev limiter?? i swear i don't but a person at a shop says i have to, its the PM6 ECU, i've hit at least 7600rpm and he said the rev limiter should be around 7200-7400 but i dunno, does anyone know? my engine is a 88 CRX Si engine.
yes, there is a rev limiter. Factory setting cuts off the fuel at 7,200 RPM. It may vary a little, so I suppose yours may be around 7,400, but I'm pretty much positive that it's not above 7,500.

you're exactly right. you "can" rev up to 7,200RPM and be fine, but in general a redline is set becuz that's where the engine stops making good power compared to fuel use. Just stick to shifting at 6,500, you don't want to be bouncing the engine off the rev limiter anyhow, that's really hard on components.
