If only things could be that easy...

Wishful thinking I guess. Hey, do you know if it's possible to remove the lower part of the rear seat only? I'd like to hear from someone who has done it. Reason i'm asking is cause I need to run some 4 guage power wire to the trunk and I need to know the easiest way to get it back there.

Yeah, the bottom portion can be removed by itself. Like someone mentioned above, there is a bolt between the cushions (top and bottom) where the seat belt buckles come through... the bolt is roughly centered I believe... take the bolt out (10mm) and the seat will "tilt" tward the front of the car... then there are 2 hook thingies at the front of the seat, you'll see how they come out from there.

It just takes a flashlight to find the bolt, and a 10mm socket with an extension to get it out... its really easier than you'd think.

if you're runnig to the trunk it'd prolly be easier to take out both parts, its only a couple bolts, takes like 1 minute to remove

How could it be easier if it takes more time and work to do it? I just need to be able to get my power wire into the trunk, the top part of the seat isn't gonna stop me from doing that.

Yeah. If you are facing the seat (lookinmg to the rear of the car) the bolt is just a little to the left of the center belt.

then just reach your hand in between the top part and the "seat" part and pull up. kinda hard depending on how long it's been since it was last removed and I'm sure its been a while.

I was not trying to be a smart ass before I was trying to give you the correct answer.

BTW what are you wanting to do once you remove the seat?

gotcha, looks like it's gonna have to wait until next weekend before I can get my system up and running again. I live in an apartment and I don't want to do the install in the parking lot for all to see. Im adding an amp, upgrading my power wire, installing an eq and a distribution block. I did most of the work yesterday at my job, inside the building of course. Today it was pretty cold out and I left the trim part that the stereo goes in at work

how about removing the sunroof
purely accidental, but allowed for a hellified sound dampening job to the roof AND sunroof assembly.
