ya that would be sweet, especially cause honda makes a factory supercharger for them.

Just have fun with the single cam and dont let anyone spoil your fun.

Im starting to see some growing intrests toward the f series ever since Bisi built one for his crx. Its cutting flat 10.0's consitently and next season it looks to be more promsing. He's coming with a full aray of stuff for the f series. Mike aka Kteller8 also has some goodies for the f series, hit him up or check out his site. I wont be surprised when we start seeing f series giving the twin cam peeps a run for their money.

i agree man. but hey...its always nice to beat a swap. i beat 2 swaps at the same time with my F series accord, and i was so broud of her.

It's not factory offered. Comptech makes a blower kit, and many Honda/Acura dealers are suppliers.

The blower doesn't really impress me to be honest with you. It made an additional 30HP (on 6psi I think?) of pressure for a total of 230HP in the 6th gen. Now I don't know if they limited the boost output because of the automatic transmission, or whatever.

I imagine some retooling needed to be done if it were to go on a 7th gen V6 although the engines are still pretty similar. The stock 7th gen. V6 makes 240HP, a full 10HP more than an aftermarket blown J30 did in the 6th gen.

I guess my point is, at least from what I've seen, a Comptech supercharger for this engine is a waste of money. They run you close to $3000, or $1000 for every 10HP. :ugh:

What I want to see is a J32 Type S or or '04 TL head on a 6th gen. J30 block.

Well I had thought about the F series motors for a while and now am finally starting my swap. Putting an F series all motor in my 88 HB. The motor is at a shop right now waiting its turn to get the head worked. If all comes out well 200 whp is very very doable with basic parts(well besides i/h/e), cam, cam gear, hondata and some nice tuning with the headwork. have to see how the H22 IM will work on it as well. Plans are also to put in prelude overbore pistons to make it a 88 mm bore instead of a 86 mm. compression will still be pretty low.

Why not simply Convert this engine with a series of easy yet very Viable mods.... And they keep your hatchback N/A....
Well you didn't include cold air, headers, and exhaust, otherwise I would've said to improve compression ratio with a new Header system coupled to exhaust H-/X-pipe.

-Full conversion to DOHC flam-cam.
-Install v. valve system to increase flow.
-Optimize fuel injectors (Non-carburated motors)
Has anyone Considered the short-lived Prelude 2carb system from the 80's. Not sure if there's any Future with this now that F.I. is the

Also - a simple Racing chip with a Hondata program. One could probably pick on up on the cheap from eBay with warranty. Has anyone else considered buying Electronic equipment on eBay?

I should have said i/h/e and other basic parts.

the car will only run a dump pipe since we have no emissions laws here.

Wow, I so forgot about this post-ha-ha!

I still plan to do the engine build one day.
But I grew tired of every dime I own going to my car.
So for the last year or so, I just kinda wash-wax and drive my car.
It's been nice enjoying the car like normal folks
It's nice driving the car instead of always having it someplace getting worked on or torn down in the garage :P

I'll be moving out of state soon to start a new job and likely I won't take the car with me, won't have room at the new place, so I likely will just store the car on the lift as the lift isn't at my house. Imagine that, my car will sit on a $2000+ parking spot-ha-ha!

Oh, how that's going to suck. Hard to believe I purchased the car nearly 5-years ago brand new. Seams like I just got the thing.....

In Feb I got my intake manifold port and polished at a machine shop in Bayside Queens NY.

The name of the place was On Target. Took them a week to complete the product.
I dont have alot of engine mods yet...but so far thats the only mod i have.

Throttle response is so much smoother.
You can feel the power increase but its a more smoother increase.
Im a bit hesitant to modify my accord since I already have a VR6-Turbo.
Im curious as well to see what posts we will leave.
