Default Low end torgue

What can be done to increase the low end torque on a 1999 Honda Accord EX VTEC 3 liter?

Absolutely nothing. The lack of torque is both perceived and real. Perceived from the incredibly smoothness and easy revving nature of the engine, and real because of the VTEC-E design and poor engine timing due to no MAF.

A short ram intake, headers and pulleys will give you perhaps an additional 10-5 ft-lb midrange, but it will cost close to $1000.

Couldn't you increase the length of the stroke and the size of the bore? And turbos usually add torque as well... But the cost of those things would be prohibitively expensive. I could be totally wrong though as well... I'm only beginning to understand how engine torque is made.

superchargers increase torque.
The higher your RPMS go the more pressure thats built up for your turbines to spin on a turbo.

Increasing bore and stroking is not an easy task.

First, can you clarify if you have a 4 or 6 cyl?

You say 3Litre, so I assume you have a V6. The torque in the V6 isn't that bad. (I'm comparing it to my 2.3L I4
People mostly complain about the V6's tranny, and top end.

Obviously he has a V6, there's no 3L I4 unless you're also on a Porsche forum...

Yes the torque is bad. Have you ever driven one? It's gutless below 3500. The top end is fine.

Yes, I've driven one and the torque really isn't that bad below 3500RPM's
I guess it's opinion based.
Many people I know with the V6 complain about the top end. especially since the 4cyl manual can keep up with a V6 up to about 100mph
