Couldn't you increase the length of the stroke and the size of the bore? And turbos usually add torque as well... But the cost of those things would be prohibitively expensive. I could be totally wrong though as well... I'm only beginning to understand how engine torque is made.
superchargers increase torque.
The higher your RPMS go the more pressure thats built up for your turbines to spin on a turbo.
Increasing bore and stroking is not an easy task.
