Also keep in mind that you'll have a ton of stray light and "hot spots" as the halogen reflectors are not made to work with such intense light. Nothing beats OEM HID projectors or reflectors and you'll never come CLOSE to the output of either with HIDS in a halogen housing.
:werd: well said. pls do a retrofit, there are a few guys out there that do some quailty retrofits that look sweet. I love the work 99AznAccord does, and illusion lighting does a great job as well. I also agree with the bulb power to get. anything higher than 5400K and your going for the bling factor.

might i suggest these rather neat shields... here

just found 'em, seem like they'd work wonders for any HID kit in halogen housings!

well your neighbor's TL housing are designed to handle a HID beam. our accord housings are not designed to properly reflect a HID beam. the reason we say a projector is the way to do it, is it is one of the best ways to get a properly working HID setup for an accord.

here is an example of some nice retro work.

And here are some on the car:

99AznAccord did these, some quality work.

correct, if you upgrade you'll have to use the HID bulb that goes with the proper projector.

Your setup looks pretty sweet. How much did that run you? Any idea where I could get some info on how to do a retrofit for my 99' ?

Maybe since I have those eyelids maybe it decreases glare?
I have a kit in my factory headlamps as well and I don't have any annoying glare. I would recommend you stick with somewhere between 4000-4300k. 6000k looks too purple. the higher the number the more the color changes but output decreases. 99% of cars with oem hid are 4300k. philips has made 5000k bulbs to replace the 4300k but not sure if there is a huge difference.
