What yall think about the Sylvania or PIAA replacement HID bulbs? I'm not really interested in changing the entire housing to retro however, I still want to have the maximum output with that HID look if possible. Any thoughts??

Thanks!

get some sylvania silverstar halogen bulbs, they are pretty bright and will give you the look and output you are proably looking for. I've had the PIAAs before, the extreems lasted me just over 2years. I'm now using the silverstars now, and for the money they are the better buy. PIAA is a bit pricey, but they are a good brand to go with.

I've purchased what you can call "cheap" ones before.. For the most part, they only lasted a couple of months or so before they've blown out.. Never both just 1 at a time... I would usually say its the bulb but my boy has purchased the same ones for his coupe and they usually last close to a year if not longer.. Could this be a electric problem, bulb or both? The bulbs sylvania bulbs are reasonable at $40 a pair but I don't want to be buying new ones every other month at that price neither... Thanks Skabone!!

Its the crappy bulbs, I've had the crappy Eurolites before and they would last a couple months and blow out. the PIAAs or silverstars should last you 6months no prob, but you should get more like a year out of them. you should be able to fine silverstars for around $30/pair.

no prob Esco5710

I looked on ebay for the silverstar 9006ST for $37 including shipping.. there was only 1 that came up in the search on ebay too... I'll most likely buy these:
