the only people that i've seen that experienced hydrolock did NOT come across that problem because they went for a drive on a snowy/rainy/etc... day and their filter got wet to get hydrolock you have to do something along the lines of "go for a drive in a lake" the bypass valve is just some shit AEM and other companies can market to the people that've heard those horror stories. the bottom line is that if you don't drive in lakes and ponds you generally don't have anything to worry about with a CAI.

Now thats what I am talking about...when I bought my AEM SR Intake I didn't buy it just because it was AEM I read tons of reviews and I found that to be the best in the market even over Injen. So in my opinion when it comes to anything, most likely name brands are going to outlast anything else. :naughty:

LOL!! nice black... HAZE: also i dont' have smog tests here in MN. haha... sucks for you... so you watch what you say before you say it not everyone lives in cali like you do and have smog tests. if your buying a namebrand for the STICKER, why not just keep it stock then?? you wasted over $200 buying a sticker..lol, cuz you can't do enough to make your car fast cuz of the smog tests.

cmon now, i wouldnt even be on this forum if i wanted to keep my car stock. Plus i do it more for the show then the go....Plus, how the F$%kc are you gonna make an accord fast w/o dropping 6000 in the engine alone....plz..Realize that some ppl just do it for fun, not to make a 3100 lbs car "fast" hfawk: If i wanted fast, i woulda just bought a 2003 Si ( which i was considering before i bought my car), turboed it and killed all of you fools with accords... (except the respected H22 with Turbo crew :P)

this quote alone confirms my suspicions on the validity of your arguments. you are too concerned with having the AEM name under your hood to see that the piece of bent pipe you buy off of ebay does the EXACT same thing that the pipe you buy from AEM does. period.

CAI is the way to go, V2, get if if u feel the need to throw money at useless things that can be bought for $$ less. If u worry about have to get a bpv, its more of a precaution and protects ur engine. Haze is right about trying to make an accord fast. Better worth going show unless u gonna swap to an H22.

Did i you even read anything i wrote??? Its called CARB and i live in California my friend...Go confirm your supsicions after you have a valid understanding of what i am even talking about. And bottom line, Its really up to the driver if they wanna use some cheap ass parts on their car. No offense to those who use generic ebay parts on their car, but imo...if your going to pay over 10,000-18,000 for a car, is it really really worth the risk to put a cheap exhaust/intake for 25$ and run the chance of messing it up? I personally dont think so..but hey, its your car.

PS. I got hooked up with wholesale prices from my friend who has direct connections with AEM thru his shop and i did NOT pay msrp.
