Ok **** most of the namebrand sh*t.. its basically all the same sh*t:

Intake : Ebay $40 CAI
Header: DC Sports ~$290
Exhaust: go to a fuggin muffler shop and have them make you a 2 1/4 piping... my friends didn't cost more than $150 for that + a universal muffler: EBAY $55
Clutch: Dual Friction $230 60% more holding power... enough for an accord..
Flywheel: go to a machinist and have him lighten, resurface and balance it.

WHALA! easy stuff.. probably gain 10hp from that stuff but the clutch and fly will make you much quicker... if you talk to Bakeoff on here he had his set up was a I/E ACT clutch and lightened flywheel and he was keeping up with a B18A1 EF Hatch with LSD and exhaust.. probably would lose by 1/2 - 1 car if that.

get a V2 and be done with it....look at the power curves on it compared to the old CAI.... the V2 gains all thru the RPM band..no losses. the old CAI was basically worthless lol but it was still better than the other CAI's out there for our cars. EBAY shit is just that, shit. do it right or regret it later

I too have a 6th gen LX. I noticed a difference when I added a short ram. Then I got an AEM Cold Air and I noticed a BIG difference. To me it isn't worth it to spend the extra $$ (if you don't have it)for the V2. Ebay is the shit...thats where I got my CAI.

Basically worthless? You are crazy if you want to pay $200 just to say you have a V2 and gain the 1.5hp or whatever it is that you lose down low. Just get a VAFC for $400 and gain more throughout the entire power band.

the way i see it is ebay stuff you may think is shit.. but for the CAI (exclude V2).. piping is piping.. all your buying is the name: AEM or anything else, i mean if you want to spend 200+ on a CAI go right ahead.. but on ebay they have them for like $60-70 and its the same size piping and same bends.. i dont' get why the ebay intake brands are shit? on a 88-91 crx/civic ebay is way better b/c the AEM ones are like 2.5 inch diameter but on the ebay its 3 inch diameter.. more air than aem and i spent $30 on it with a filter, and i guarentee that i stayed the same for power from Ebay and AEM if not i gained more power cuz of the piping size maybe .1whp haha everything else ebay style is probably low quality but the intakes are fine for 3/4 the cost. just my experiences with ebay vs AEM.. its time for someone to bash it...

Screw name brands like someone else said.

Headers: find a 4-2-1 and use it... most EX's came with those I believe.

if you wanna put some cardboard, bolt on some pieces of random metal, and add plastic piping under your hood, go right ahead. The bottom line is most people dont buy name brands for more power (or at least i dont) I buy it for that magical CARB sticker that is gonna have my ass passing Smog while you other ebay cheap part guys will be frantically trying to switch everything back to stock. ( at least in Cali) Think about what you guys are talking about before you post.
