Default Oil leak :(

I changed out my plugs yesterday, 2 and 3 were drenched in oil. Ive burned a bit of smoke whenever I start my car - about a quart every 3-4 weeks, but this is getting out of hand. Is this a head gasket? My car has 210k miles, and I know that Im headed for engine work. Will a HG change require a lot of work? Will opening this motor cause me to rebuild the whole damn thing? Should I try to hold off for a H22? Yes, I do plan on keeping the car.

Thanks

Have you noticed leaking oil from the head gasket?

Could be worn out O-ring gaskets or a worn PCV valve/hose.

You sure to much oil wasn't put in after a previous oil change.

Edit: I would change all the gaskets, then replace the spark plugs. Check to see if the spark plug boots have any oil on them. If so you might want to consider changing them as well.

Change ALL the gaskets? What failed gasket would allow oil into the business end of a spark plug?

Are you getting oil on just the ceramic side or both the ceramic and spark. If it's just on the ceramic side then it's you valve cover seals, just replace them the valve cover kit usually comes with the cover seal and the spark plug seals; but if it's the spark end that's got oil on it then you're looking at a possible HG. Anyway make sure you change the plugs and wires out also.

you probably just need to get new seals around the spark plug areas. Go to a auto store you can get the new gaskets. All of htem for like 20 bucks. Including spark plug gromments valve cover gasket and spark plug gasket. Also get some gasket shelac. Mine was leaking like yours was I did this and it fixed it.

There is no oil on the ceramic end of the plug. It is all in the "spark end". I have to believe this is HG.

Thanks again
