IN other places except the US Acura is Honda. So in Japan you will see the Honda Integra, Honda NSX, etc...

sorry bad phrasing. How do you know if brakes are glazed or something else as opposed to worn out?

When you glaze the brakes it the pads that turn to almost glass. And you know the surface of glass is smooth.

And it depends on your brake setup. My brakes always squeal since they are of higher metallic content than say semi-metallic brake pads, which are quieter.

well, i just got pads and rotors from checker, had them for about a year with no squealing, and just lately after my last trip up to winter park they started squealing. they get real hot, i know that and the pedal gets mushy. this time they just started squealing also.

You might be hitting the metal tabs that tell you it's time to replace the pads. If you had them a year, and depending on how much you drive they may need replacing. If the pedal gets mushy they you need to bleed the brake lines of air.

Got 2 questions.....my engine is bout to go (making funny noises)...should I:
A) get a old engine from the salvage yard and get it rebuilt or
B) just order a rebuilt engine
which would be better to have if it makes a difference

Also if there is any one in the NY area that can do the swap for me pm me
