I've had my outs with crucial a time or two, but this changes everything for me. I put crucial up there with westcoast, oc, asiandood, white-n-slow/ the guys who know there shiat. Sounds like it a thrown together car. Needs a little more thought to what he wants to accomplish.
Looks like a V6 stang in the photo. Am i right??

I just know what I've picked up here over the past 2 years, and what I've learned taking my car apart and autocrossing. But thanks for the complement.

:edit: I agree that crucial can be a bit abrisive sometimes, but when he's got legit questions and useful information, its all good. This thread is a good example of legit, honest info. Just a little quick to jump on people sometimes.

My roommate ran with a bad clutch at the track, it was damn near dead after he left. He still managed to run a 15.2 @90 something, 2 weeks later, new clutch new time 15.0 @ 91 something. Yes a clutch is a problem, but not as signifcant as you make it out to be. Even if you did switch your clutch out there's no way you'll hit 14 flat with your setup. I dislike peope who run their vehicles at the track and then make a long list of excuses as to why they ran so poorly.
amen to that, all excuses!

With a what?

I ran the 14.89 in 90+ degree weather on a stock, full-interior 3350lb 2g. No silly spray. Street tires. Stock clutch, and I'm an additional 189 lbs.

Oh. Well, I'm sort-of new here. I don't know him or his past. I CAN appreciate the fact that he's spending his hard-earned (or stolen-in-a-thug-like-manner) money on a D series, and learning valuable lessons with it instead of falling into that BS B18 N/A swap is the bomb hullaballoo bullshit. I can also appreciate that he's out there actually racing it instead of bench-racing in an internet forum... he's even risking long-distance drives and potential $500 towing bills to feed the need for speed. He must be having fun, and that's what it's all about. At least it is for me anyway.

I bust the chops of people I like. Maybe sometimes I push it too far, but if I say something I can't back up, I definitely deserve to be corrected just like anyone else. I'm still stickin' to what I said to him, and he'd just better not piss me off:madfawk:

LOL j/k

I'll be the first to admit that I don't get along with Crucial. He can be an ass. I'll give it right back to him. But damn! This is just a "hey, this is what my car ran with these mods, and these problems." You don't need to laugh at the guy for Christ sake. The next time someone's engine gets hydrolocked (hint hint), or someone blows a tranny, or any other problems, I think Crucial has every right to laugh his ass off in your face. Man, I thought you guys were more mature than this.
